At Logan Airlines the belief is
that certain makes of aircraft age like a fine wine.
This is certainly the case with the fleet of Convair 880
and 990 aircraft that have become the trademark of Logan
Airlines. Despite being notoriously difficult to operate
in extreme conditions, the four-engine Convair jets are
noted for their passenger comfort, sterling safety
record, and remarkable speed, which can even put
contemporary jet airliners to shame, despite not so
modest age of the Convair fleet! As the needs of its
contractors grew, so did the Logan fleet, expanding to
include the Socata TBM 700, Beechcraft King Air 300,
Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter, Douglas DC-9 and DC-10-30F
aircraft.
